The Way of St. James

With parts of the route listed as World Heritage Sites, the Via Podiensis is one of France’s four routes to Santiago de Compostela.

Breathtaking views, friendly encounters and extraordinary heritage, the Way of St. James has so much to offer. From the cathedral in Le Puy-en-Velay to the charming village of Saugues, there are gems to be discovered along the way. Don’t miss out on this historic itinerary in Auvergne; follow the markings for the GR65 route, maintained by the French Hiking Federation (FFRP).
